Officers of the Society

President

Jerry Kalyn serves as President of the international Ukrainian Philatelic and Numismatic Society. In this role, he oversees the judging of the Golden Trident Award, supports society publications, and leads the design of key UPNS commemorative mementos, including illustrative covers, stamps, and hand cancels. He also promotes Ukrainian diaspora collecting interests and serves as technical lead for the society’s website, author, and regional leader for the Ukrainian Collectibles Society of Toronto (UCST), UPNS Chapter No. 1. Drawing on extensive research in Ukrainian philately and numismatics, his principal area of expertise is Ukrainian currency, especially the history and development of Ukrainian banknotes. He is also a member of the International Bank Note Society (IBNS) and the West Toronto Stamp Club (WTSC).

George Fedyk – Australasia
Former journal editor George Fedyk specializes in Ukrainian cinderella material. His recent publication is Ukrainian Underground Post 1949–1983 (©2024).

Wsevolod Sokolyk – Canada
Wsevolod Sokolyk specializes in sports philately and has published works in both Ukrainian-themed and general sports philately.

Valerij Kryvodubskyj – Ukraine
Valerij Kryvodubskyj is active in several areas of Ukrainian philately and is a senior member of the Kyiv philatelic chapter of the Association of Philatelists of Ukraine.

Roman Procyk – USA
Roman Procyk specializes in the classic-era Ukrainian Trident overprints and has contributed several articles on the subject to UPNS publications.

The society’s three most active and visible positions are those of the president and the editors of the society publications.
